President of Guyana Cricket Board resigns!

President of the Guyana Cricket Board (GCB) Ramsay Ali has resigned.

His resignation has come a mere seven months after he replaced the long-serving Chetram Singh.


Adriel Richard has been appointed to the post of Senior Communications Officer with the West Indies Cricket Board.

The well-known regional media personality, affectionately known as “Woody”, begins in the position on March 1.

ICC condemns Guyana government intervention

The ICC board has condemned the Guyanese government's interference in the functioning of cricket in Guyana.

In a statement released after its meeting in Dubai, the board reiterated its stand that governments should have no involvement in the running of cricket in any country.

Australia captain Michael Clarke will miss the first part of the upcoming tour of West Indies because of a hamstring injury, Cricket Australia said on Thursday.

The 30-year-old, hopes to be fit to play in the three-test series in the Caribbean. All rounder Shane Watson will replace him as captain.

West Indies Cricket Board’s (WICB) Selection Panel today announced the West Indies squad for the first three Digicel One-Day Internationals against Australia to be played on March 16, 18 and 20 at the Arnos Vale Cricket Ground in St. Vincent.
